Villa Rica High Nominated 18 Students for the Governor’s Honors Program

Governors Honors

(Carrollton, Ga. – December 7, 2015) Villa Rica High School nominated 18 students for the Governor’s Honors Program in the areas of Social Studies, Spanish, French, Math, Theatre Performance, Science, and Communicative Arts. Nominees participated in both school and county level interviews in order to have the opportunity to advance to state level competition. Tristan Porter, Anne-Marie Miller, Charlie Howard, Donovan Markle, Avery Hill, and Racheal Attaway advanced to the state level competition.

Six-time STAR teacher, Alice taught Advanced Placement English, literature, composition, speech and theater for over twenty years, part of which time she also served as Director of Admissions, Development, Public Relations, and Alumni at Oak Mountain Academy. She is the managing partner of Ridley-Teal Properties and content editor for the City Menus. She is a board member of the Carroll Symphony Orchestra and enjoys playing flute with the Carroll Community Wind Ensemble.
