UPDATE :
Old Newnan Road will be closed from the Hwy 166 Bypass to Birkdale Blvd on Thursday, February 25, 2016 between 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
The road closure is required for the installation of the water service for the Carroll County Performing Arts Building that is currently under-construction at the corner of the Hwy 166 Bypass and Old Newnan Road. We apologize for any inconvenience that the work may cause and appreciate your understanding.

As you might imagine with any construction project, news tips pour in over it. We received a handful of tips about construction work directly across the street from the new Carroll County Performing Arts Center. See below for a response from City Engineer Tommy Holland.
Old Newnan Rd at 166 Bypass Construction Work: The work being done now is for the installation of the gravity sewer from the Carroll County Performing Arts Center. The CC Schools had to perform extra clearing as part obtaining the sewer easement from the property owner. – Per the The City of Carrollton, GA‘s City Engineer Tommy Holland.
