Villa Rica’s K9 Bono Named “K9 of the Month”

Accolades to K9 Bono on being named “K9 of the Month” by K9’s of West Georgia. Bono is a highly trained Belgian Malinois who hails from the Netherlands and joined the Villa Rica Police Department in March 2015. He is the department’s only K9 officer and partners with Officer Drew Fowler.

K9 Bono is a patrol service dog certified through the National Narcotic Detection Dog Association. He is trained in the detection of narcotics, criminal apprehension, article search, tracking and trailing, and handler protection. He will be honored throughout the month of March 2016.

K9’s of West Georgia is an organization established to work with, assist and honor all K9 teams, both Law Enforcement and Rescue, serving the West Georgia Region.
