(Carrollton, Ga. March 4, 2016) On Monday, February 22nd, Villa Rica High School conducted its annual College Fair. The fair was sponsored by Communities in Schools (CIS). Students and teachers agreed that the event was beneficial for students who might be undecided as to where to receive their secondary education. Mrs. Cheely, CIS Coordinator and event organizer, stated that she believed the event met the needs of the students.
During the event, students were able to explore their options from all over the state including Clayton State, Herzing University, UGA at Griffin, University of West GA, GA Highlands, GA Gwinnett College, ITT Tech, Kennesaw State, Reinhardt University, University of North Georgia, and GA Southwestern State University. Admission representatives from each college were present to greet the students and answer questions. Mrs. Cheely hopes the annual event will continue to grow in the future.
