Over the weekend we took a little peek through the windows of this storefront. Inside vinyl was spotted! A new record shop is evidently opening soon in this spot. We asked Dorothy Pittman of Horton’s Bookstore about the history surrounding this space next to La Trattoria. She informed us that Shipps’ Music was formerly in this space at 114 Alabama Street several years ago. It has been vacant for many years. According to a message received from the future owners, the store will be called The Vinyl Frontier. In the coming days we will have more information to share with you.
