Fireworks Store Coming To Old Cracker Barrel Location

We got a tip from a follower about some construction going on in the long-vacant Cracker Barrel location on Westmoreland Plaza near Fairburn Road and I-20. We went by to check it out, and indeed there is demo work going on inside, lots of removal of walls, fixtures and posts. Upon further inspection of the work and of the building permit outside, it appears that this will be a new fireworks store. No indication on whether it will be a temporary location like TNT fireworks that pop up every 4th of July and New Year’s Eve, or perhaps something a bit more permanent like the stores across the Alabama state line. One has to wonder if they would be spending all this money on work to the building for something that would only be open a few weeks a year. We will keep an eye on the construction progress and let you know when we know more about the status of the store. Keep it here.

Thanks to Gary Warner for the original tip!
