One era ends and another begins for a building in the Bowdon Junction community. Furniture Nation at 4119 US Highway 27 North, Carrollton, across from the intersection with Bethlehem Church Road has closed its store and according to their Facebook page have moved all of their inventory including consignments and layaways to Chandler’s Furniture just a block north at 4279 US Highway 27 North near Bowdon Junction Road and Walnut Hill Road.

However, the building that housed the furniture store is receiving a new long-term tenant. The Blake House Thrift Store is moving from its current location off Highway 78 in Waco to this building in Bowdon Junction. Their first day of business in the new location will be July 5. The thrift store is a branch of the Blake House which is a Christian-based, in-patient, regeneration program for men struggling with addiction. For more information, visit the Blake House website.
