We know how important it is to find a veterinarian you and your pet trust, and we thank you for the confidence you’ve placed in us here at VCA Carrollton Animal Hospital. We are extremely proud of our medical team and want to introduce you to our new doctor.
Dr. Corina Collins graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2016, after finishing her undergrad degree in animal science at Tuskegee University in May 2012. She joined the VCA Carrollton Animal Hospital team in July as a full-time doctor, noting “the opportunity to grow and learn as a veterinarian with VCA is tremendous” and she “appreciates that VCA Carrollton is community-oriented, where staff are friendly and very passionate about animal health.”
Dr. Collins has a passion for community service, and as a Delta Sigma Theta sorority member, she was provided an avenue to serve the Douglas, Carroll, and Paulding County areas. She loves to travel and one day would love to do conservation work with elephants and gorillas in other countries. She enjoys “pocket pets” such as guinea pigs, hamsters, and rabbits. Soft-tissue surgery and exotic animal medicine are some of her special interests. She is a member of AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association).
At home, Dr. Collins enjoys baking, spending time with Precious, her eight-year-old Bichon Frise, and she is currently the foster mom to two guinea pigs, Twix and Chubbs.
We are delighted to welcome this skilled veterinarian to our team and look forward to continuing to serve you and your pet.
