The Pride of Temple Marching Band Earns Overall Grand Championship

The Pride of Temple Marching Band had a fantastic start to their marching season on Saturday, September 24 at the Bowdon Invitational Marching Contest in Bowdon, Georgia. They competed against 10 other High School Bands from across Georgia. The Pride earned Superior Ratings in all captions, Best in Class Drum Major, Best in Class Band, and the Overall Grand Championship Award.

This week the band will be traveling to Chestatee High School to compete at the Lake Lanier Tournament of Bands. The band performed at the football game at Heard County on Friday night with Fox High 5 Sports in attendance. They also marched in the Temple Founder’s Day Parade on Saturday before attending the Bowdon competition.
