The courtroom at the historic 1904 Coweta County courthouse in downtown Newnan was filled with some of the state’s brightest and best as Leadership Georgia began its visit November 3rd. Coweta County Commission Vice Chair Al Smith welcomed the group.

Leadership Georgia is one of the nation’s oldest and most successful Leadership Training Programs for young business, civic, and community leaders with the desire and potential to work together for a better Georgia. The program is an educational experience dealing with issues confronting the state.

The 2016 Leadership Georgia Program is “One Georgia Stronger Together” and the visit to Newnan/Coweta wraps up the 2016 session of five programs held across the state.

•Brasstown Valley – January 28 – 30 – Discover

•Augusta – March 17 – 19 – Innovate

•Jekyll Island – May 12 – 14 – Preserve

•Tifton – September 8 – 10 – Cultivate

•Newnan – November 3 -5 – Nurture

The event was a collaborative effort between organizers, the City of Newnan and Coweta County.
