Brides-to-be can soon experience red-carpet treatment at Carrollton’s Courtyard by Marriott Bridal Extravaganza, which is set to take place on February 12. Organizers of the show say the Bridal Extravaganza will be an upscale event with plenty of vendors and wedding-inspired fun.
“It will be an upscale event in which brides can book their entire wedding and also enjoy themselves,” says Certified Marriott Wedding Planner Shannon Mundy. “From the moment they walk in, it will be a unique experience where they can sip mimosas and find the perfect pieces to their wedding.”
Mundy says the Courtyard by Marriott in Carrollton has previously hosted two bridal shows with great success.
“At our last event we had about 30 vendors, including event planners, photographers, DJs and bands, florists, caterers, wedding and formal wear stores, and others,” says Mundy. “There are vendors who do print and monogram work, and also vendors who handle wedding transportation services.”
Mundy says participating brides will also have the chance to win free prizes offered by vendors during the show.
“Last year we had lots of vendors who were very generous,” says Mundy. “All of the giveaways that we did pretty much amounted to a free wedding. The Courtyard by Marriott will also be giving away a free suite for one lucky couple’s wedding weekend.”
The entire Courtyard by Marriott downstairs lobby and bistro will be used for the event. Mundy says the event will also feature a fashion show.
“We will have a live runway-style fashion show with models dressed in wedding dresses and tuxedos,” says Mundy.
Mundy says nearly 300 people attended last year’s Bridal Extravaganza, and she expects a similar turnout for her upcoming event.
“We had lots of people show up, and our vendors really helped make it a memorable experience for brides-to-be,” says Mundy. “Some of our vendors told me it was the best bridal show they had ever been to, which made me very proud of all the work we’d put into it.”
