Online Grocery Pick Up Coming Soon to Walmart Supercenter in Carrollton

Carrollton customers will soon be able to take advantage of Walmart’s newest pickup service, Walmart Grocery. The service will enable grocery shoppers to place an order online, choose a pickup time, and pick up their order. While renovation plans are in the works, no final decisions or a timeline has been set. “We’re hoping to get it this year, but we haven’t heard anything final right now,” said Melissa, a manager at the Carrollton location.

The trend of online grocery shopping is slowly growing among popular grocery chains like Walmart and Kroger. “We get a minimum of about 20 to 25 orders a day,” commented Briana, an associate at the Walmart Supercenter in Douglasville. Like Walmart, Kroger also has an online grocery pickup service, called ClickList. While Kroger’s service offers similar features as Walmart’s, there are a few differences. The pickup cost at Kroger is free for your first three orders and $4.95 after that. Walmart has no charge for online pickup orders.

Although many will probably grocery shop the old-fashioned way, shopping for groceries online does seem to have its perks.
