    South Park Street: Starbucks

    UPDATE:
Big news for coffee-lovers in Carrollton! Developers have reached a deal to construct a new Starbucks on South Park Street outside South Park Health and Wellness Center. The new location is set to be constructed in a vacant lot between Wendy’s and Four Seasons Car Wash.

Following the success of the Starbucks locations inside Ingram Library at the University of West Georgia and at Kroger Shopping Center, the coffee chain has finally set their sights on property for a free-standing location with a drive thru.

“We closed on a deal last week with Starbucks for a new location on that lot,” said Ronnie Edwards, managing broker for Linco Realty. The long-awaited free-standing Starbucks will feature their first drive-through location in Carrollton.

As Jonathan Dockery had recently reported, a commercial building was slated for a site between Wendy’s and Four Seasons Car Wash on South Park Street near Clinic Avenue (Read that story here). The Carrollton Menu originally reported on a possible development at the location in April of last year when the Carrollton Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing regarding a land variance for the area.

Edwards said construction on the new Starbucks is expected to begin in the next 30-45 days.
