A proposal for a new Zaxby’s location is currently under review by the City of Newnan. If approved, the restaurant will be built at Lower Fayetteville Road and Newnan Crossing Boulevard.
“The City of Newnan has received site and building plans and is nearly complete with the review,” said Hasco Craver, assistant city manager. “It is our hope to issue the permit in the near future.”
The location would be constructed next to the Publix Shopping Center at the intersection.
Plans for the restaurant show seating for up to 90 patrons inside the 3,847 square-foot building space. The restaurant would also feature a drive-thru, as well as patio seating.
Zaxby’s officials have declined to comment on the proposal at this time. However, according to the proposal, construction is estimated to begin on March 13.
