    Central High School’s Literary Team is Region Runner-Up

    (Carrollton, Ga. – March 7, 2017) The Central High School Literary Team competed in the Region 5-AAAA Literary Tournament in Lagrange.

    The team results earned Central High School the runner-up trophy. Individual recognition goes to Carolina Butler for placing 1st in the region for narrative essay.

    Joshawa Arnell, Will Godbee, Elijah Green, and Caleb Williams finished 1st in boys quartet. Victoria Richardson placed 2nd in the region for rhetorical essay and Brant Entrekin finished 2nd in domestic extemporaneous speaking. Brant also finished 4th in humorous interpretation.

    Erin Tarply finished 3rd in dramatic interpretation, while Carter Lewis and Sandy Wilson finished 4th in duo dramatic interpretation.

    In the past four years, Central High School’s participation in region literary competition has resulted in 15 earned individual region winners, three 2nd place state finishers, and one state champion.

    Overall, the Central High School Literary Team has earned three (3) Region Runner-up Titles, one Region Championship, and one 3rd place state finish. Congratulations to the Literary Team and teachers, Mr. Jamie Biddle and Ms. Sydney Sewell.
