The Carrollton Publix supermarket is set for large-scale renovations that are expected to begin in April.
“Every 5 years or so, we like to evaluate our stores to see if there need to be any upgrades to equipment or décor,” said Brenda Reid, media relations manager. “Our Carrollton location is now 20 years old, so it will be going through some major upgrades.”
Reid said the supermarket will be adding new coolers, as well as updating the deli and pharmacy inside the store.
“It’s going to be an overall upgrade of the store,” said Reid. “The main reason we do this is because technology changes, and we want to make sure we are keeping our stores’ equipment and other things up to par so that our customers can have a great shopping experience.”
The store will also feature new interior paint and lighting. “We want to make sure our color scheme is consistent with our other stores because we update that periodically,” said Reid. “Publix is known for having very clean, well-lit stores, and we want to maintain that reputation.”
Reid said the store will remain fully operational during the renovation process, which is expected to be finished by late summer.
