Terrific Turnout at ‘Keep Carroll Beautiful’ Recycling Event

(Last Updated On: December 21, 2017)

On March 18th, Keep Carroll Beautiful held their Spring Tire Recycling Event at the Villa Rica Civic Center. This event resulted in the collection of 1584 tires, from over 127 county residents! These tires, most having been illegally dumped throughout the county, are a major detriment to our environment; serving as a breeding ground for mosquitos, drive down home values, and are a major blight on our community.

This event, the first of 2017, was also part of Keep Carroll Beautiful’s initiative to make their recycling events more accessible to all county residents in 2017. Keep Carroll Beautiful would like to thank Southwire, Sheriff Terry Langley, Carroll County government, Senator Mike Dugan, the City of Villa Rica, and Liberty Tire Recycling for sponsoring the event, and for their continued support.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Keep Carroll Beautiful’s next recycling event, the annual Spring E-Recycling Event, in partnership with Southwire, being held on April 15th at Southwire’s corporate parking lot in Carrollton, and the Mill Amphitheatre in Villa Rica from 9am-1pm.
