There’ll be plenty of funk and dancing at the University of West Georgia’s spring concert this year as the university welcomes DNCE, Zara Larsson and Chord Overstreet to the Coliseum April 27.

Featuring frontman Joe Jonas, DNCE took the Best New Artist trophy at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards, edging out Larsson for the honor. Formed in the summer of 2015, DNCE first introduced itself to audiences worldwide with the release of its debut single “Cake by The Ocean,” now a certified double-platinum breakout smash that made the band one of 2016’s most buzzworthy acts. The song became one of the most played of the year. Internationally, “Cake by The Ocean” reached Top 10 on iTunes in more than 10 countries. It has generated more than 400 million streams on Spotify worldwide.

Hailing from Sweden, Larsson gained national fame at age 10 by winning the 2008 season of the talent show Talang, the Swedish version of Got Talent. She signed with the record label TEN Music Group in 2012 and released her debut EP album “Introducing” in January 2013.

The single “Uncover” topped the charts in Sweden, Denmark and Norway. In January, Larsson released the single “So Good,” which features vocals from American rapper Ty Dolla Sign. Her second album, which has the the same title, was released on March 17. The album features new collaborations with WizKid and Clean Bandit titled “Sundown” and “Symphony,” respectively.

Best known for his role as Sam Evans on the hit TV show “Glee,” Overstreet is the son of country music star Paul Overstreet. He began his music journey at age 4, when he received a mandolin for Christmas and began to appear onstage with his father.

Overstreet has cited James Taylor, David Gray, Jimmy Buffett, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and Hall & Oates as musicians that inspire him. Last December, he released a cover of “All I Want for Christmas is a Really Good Tan,” written by his father and originally recorded by Kenny Chesney. He released the single “Hold On” in early February.
