Colorado Premium is one of the country’s premier beef processors. They provide fresh, frozen and consumer-ready meats to restaurant chains, private labels and retailers such as Walmart and Kroger, as well as food service companies across the nation. They have built a reputation for high-quality raw and cooked meats, including corned beef, roast beef, pastrami, prime rib, and hot dogs.

Quick Start is Georgia’s premiere economic development program, administered through the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG). The Quick Start program is an economic incentive program that provides employee training, at no cost, for qualified companies moving into the state and qualified existing companies that are expanding their work force. The Quick Start program has been in existence since 1967. During this time period, they have trained more than 485,000 employees for more than 4,800 different companies.

The Quick Start training agreement was developed based on several informational meetings between Georgia Quick Start team visits to Colorado Premium facility located in Carrollton, GA. The training agreement is based on Colorado Premium’s commitment to provide approximately 120 new jobs for Georgians in the Carrollton area. Quick Start will be designing and developing training material, as well as providing instructors, for the classes.

The training program involves three distinct partners: Colorado Premium, West Georgia Technical College, and Quick Start. Each partner will be responsible for the successful completion of this program. The partnership will not end when the Quick Start training is completed. West Georgia Technical College will be available to assist Colorado Premium with ongoing training programs.

Steve G. Daniel, President of West Georgia Technical College said, “We are pleased to be working with Colorado Premium. They are extremely important to us at West Georgia Technical College.
