Campus Walk Apartments To Be Rebuilt

(Last Updated On: December 21, 2017)

An aging, student-housing complex built in the 1980s will soon undergo major changes. On Monday, July 10, the Carrollton City Council approved plans presented by Sinclair Holdings to completely demolish and rebuild the Campus Walk Apartments on Foster Street. The plans call for an 11-building, 576-bed gated community including a new amenities complex featuring a pool, fitness center, and study rooms. Additionally, townhouses will be built along the front of the complex facing Foster Street. Per the rezoning approval the owners of the complex, Student Quarters Campus Walk, LLC, must enter into an affiliate agreement with the University of West Georgia to ensure that only students will live in the complex. Demolition and construction is expected to begin in June 2018 with an estimated completion date during the 2019/2020 academic year.
