Zucchini 500: Fast Food Is Coming to the Farmers’ Market in Carrollton

Tanner Health System’s Get Healthy, Live Well in partnership with the Cotton Mill Farmers’ Market is hosting a Zucchini 500 Race where participants will race their cars — built out of squash — on a custom, 16-foot track provided by The Blake House.

What: Participants in the Zucchini 500 Race will build their own race cars out of squash or cucumbers. Cars can be built with old or new toy car wheels and be decorated.

They can be built with extra veggies and have “passengers.” Prizes will be awarded in two age groups — ages 4-8 and 9-12. There will be prices for the fastest car and the most creative. A grand prize will be given for the fastest car of the day.
