Andy Camp, Vice President of Economic Development for Carroll Tomorrow, has accepted a management position with an economic and community development firm based out of Birmingham, AL. His last day with Carroll Tomorrow will be September 15.
In his new role, Camp will identify, plan, and support community growth and development projects throughout North Georgia and beyond.
“Andy joined Carroll Tomorrow in March of 2015 and he has done an outstanding job for us and our community,” said Daniel Jackson, President/CEO of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and Carroll Tomorrow. “His knowledge of the industry and his stellar reputation with our partners and stakeholders has been a huge plus. He has been a tireless advocate for Carroll County and he is leaving us in a strong economic position with great potential for future growth.”
During Camp’s two and a half years with Carroll Tomorrow he served as the lead for economic development projects and was responsible for 44 projects totaling $254 million in new investment in Carroll County and 1,400 jobs.
“I am very pleased with what we accomplished together and will miss working with the Carroll Tomorrow and Carroll Chamber team,” Camp said. “It was a true honor to represent Carroll County and I believe we support an ecosystem that will continue to produce opportunities for business expansion and creation in the West Georgia region.”
Camp and his family will remain in Carroll County and will continue to be active in the community.
“We wish Andy and his family the very best,” Jackson said. “Andy assures us he will continue to be available as a resource if needed in the future.”
According to Jackson, Carroll Tomorrow staff, in concert with the Executive Committee, will determine future talent needs and will begin the search process immediately.
