The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce features the City of Bowdon as the Business of the Month. The vision statement for the city summarizes the positive atmosphere found in the community: “The City of Bowdon shall continue to enhance the prosperity of the community and the overall quality of life of its citizens while preserving its rural small town character, encouraging diverse economic development and employment opportunities, protecting its historic resources and the environment.” City government serves a population of 2,000 and all branches of the Bowdon government will begin occupying the former Bowdon Primary School facility beginning in June 2018 with various departments moving in as different phases of renovation are completed.
