24th Annual Bremen Towne Festival Happening October 21

The GFWC Bremen Junior Woman’s Club wants to invite everyone to come out and enjoy the 24th Annual Bremen Towne Festival on October 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will be held on Tallapoosa and Buchanan Streets in Bremen, with entertainment taking place both inside Sewell Mill and on Buchanan Street.

Linda Bulifant, coordinator of the event, says there will be plenty of attractions for the entire family. “We will have lots of different activities and fun for people of

all ages to enjoy,” she said. “We’ve been doing this for years, and it has grown every year…this year is no exception.  It’s a great community event to bring your family.”

The Bremen Towne Festival will feature a wide variety of food and craft vendors, and all-day entertainment on two stages.  The parade will begin at 11 a.m.  The grand marshals of this year’s parade will be Brian Krasielwicz and the “Keep Haralson Beautiful” team.  The parade commentator will be Tom Eriquezzo, announcing the parade participants as they pass his viewing stand on Business Route 27.

“We’re going to have kiddy train rides going on all day,” says Linda. “We will also have a kids’ play area, and they can meet “Jinx” the Interactive Robot, who will also be walking in our parade this year.”

Adults and children will be able to join in on a cornhole competition at 2:00 p.m.  The festival will also feature a blue ribbon pie contest at 10:00 a.m., as well as a parade float contest. Decorate your parade float, truck, or car and compete for a prize!

“We want everyone to come out and have a good time,” says Linda. “We all look forward to this festival every year, and it is always a great way to celebrate our community in Bremen.”
