Comedy Night Series returns to The Mill this weekend

The final Comedy Night Series is back again this Saturday night at The Mill Amphitheater from 8- 10 p.m. The family-friendly show, presented by the City of Villa Rica will feature comedians Greg Behrens, Double D, and Dusty Slay on the Thomas A. Dorsey stage.

The opening act is Greg Behrens from Atlanta, GA. Greg has performed in many festivals, including the Boston Comedy Festival, Limestone Comedy Festival, Memphis Comedy Festival, Red Clay Comedy Festival, and Sweetwater 420 Festival. According to his website, he is also a longtime writer and cast member in Atlanta’s premiere live sketch comedy troupe, Sketchworks.

The featured act is Degario “Double D” Turner from Sparta, GA. Double D made his television debut on BET’s Comic View in 2000. He then returned in 2001, 2002, and 2005. According to his website, he has opened and featured for major acts, such as John Witherspoon, Mark Curry, Sommore, Bruce Bruce, Chris Tucker, Gary Owens, Rickey Smiley, Monique, and Katt Williams to name a few. Double D has also been the headlining act of the RJE Comedy/Poetry Caberet Tour for the past 10 years.

With a “baritone voice so smooth it’s like champagne in your ears”, our headliner is Dusty Slay, who was born in Alabama, he was a featured comedian on TMZ and has been invited to numerous comedy festivals across America, including The Laughing Skull Festival and The Charleston Comedy Festival.

He has appeared on several network shows, including NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing” and the popular program “Laughs on FOX”. Slay has also opened for many touring celebrities, such as Jeff Ross and Rob Schneider.

The event is free to the public. Feel free to bring a picnic basket, lawn chair, and non-alcoholic beverages. Smoking, vaping, tents, and pets are not allowed.
