A new made-from-scratch deli and bakery opened recently inside Tanner Medical Center-Carrollton on the ground level. LuLu’s Deli, which opened late August, features many deli options which are all made from scratch with absolutely no processed meats and local products when available.
“Our focus from the early planning stages was to be original and creative with our entire menu from our custom sandwiches to soups, salads, desserts, and even our fresh squeezed lemonade.” say owners Josh McCorsley and Savannah McGinnis. “All of our meats are cooked on site with fresh, locally grown products. We believe in selecting local products because fresher is always better.” McCorsley says many of Lu Lu’s ingredients will be locally grown and produced.
“Our bakery line is prepared and baked on site at the deli; and we will also serve Mountain Fresh Dairy Ice Cream and milk from West Georgia Creamery, both of which are produced nearby,” says McCorsley. “Our main menu items are custom-crafted sandwiches and sides. We will also have choices like fresh-squeezed lemonade, premium side dishes, and daily specials. We hope to soon produce our own ice cream in-house.”
McCorsley says the restaurant is currently open for lunch and dinner from 11:00 a. m. – 9:00 p. m. Monday thru Friday. They play to be open for breakfast beginning early next month and featuring incredible breakfast offering like waffles with fresh fruit compote, 3-D biscuits with housemade jellies, pecan rolls, and custom breakfast sandwiches and wraps with eggs prepared to order. We partook of the fall salad with apple vinaigrette and it was absolutely delicious! It comes with Candied pecans, apple slices, pears, and goat cheese!
McCorsley has been in the food service business for more than 17 years. He notes that he is looking to expand LuLu’s into multiple health-care locations in the future. “LuLu’s is a concept that’s been in the making for a while,” he explains. “Lu Lu’s is made with love. Our trademarked logo is actually a heart. Everything we serve, and everything we do is original, and comes from the heart. We’re really looking forward to opening and serving customers very soon.”
