A popular Carrollton home décor store announced it will soon be closing its doors for a good reason. Jacklyn Yates, owner of Pieces by Jacklyn, announced her store’s closure last month in a Facebook video.
“I’ve been praying about a lot of changes in my business, and we’ve decided to close our storefront,” said Jacklyn. “Will not be having a going out-of-business sale because we’re not going out of business—we’re growing.”
Jacklyn said her reason for closing the store was to keep up with the growing demand of in-home client consulting and decorating.
“There are so many good clients that are sitting on a waiting list, and have been waiting for months,” said Jacklyn. “When I built the store, my goal was to show my design work. I didn’t really expect it to grow so fast. We are closing so that I can be more available to do the work that I love.”
Pieces by Jacklyn is located at 609 Newnan Street in Carrollton. The store opened in 2013 and has grown into a thriving destination for antiques and quality home décor. Jacklyn and her work were recently featured in an episode of a popular television show on HGTV.
“Our storefront will be closing after the first of the year—probably in February,” said Jacklyn. “Stay tuned to our Facebook page to keep up with us. Will still be working with clients, but on a more personal level.”
