    Winter Weather Advisory Update (7 a.m. Update)

    A winter weather advisory remains in effect through 10 AM for much of Douglas County and north and central Georgia. Patches of ice are present on roads and we are encouraging you to please stay off of the roadways. We have a number of downed power lines and down trees across the county. Please remember to stay away from downed power lines!

    Light snow is falling this morning. We have at least 8 inches of snow at the Douglas County Emergency Operations Center as of 7:00 a.m.

    All of Douglas County Libraries, Parks and Recreation facilities and Senior Center are closed because of the inclement weather. Please continue to monitor Douglas County Happenings on Facebook, for further updates.
