Locally Sourced Market Coming to Newnan

An exciting new way to eat both locally and healthy is coming to downtown Newnan. The new marketplace Local Provisions is excited to be a place where the community can go to find wine, cheese, vegetables, and other specialty items from local farms and artisanal producers. Each item is handpicked by owners David and Laura Gabbard who wanted to create a chef-driven marketplace for the community. Samples of certain items will be offered so the consumers can get the flavors they want into their next dish. Local Provisions will also offer a frozen section for ice cream and other frozen treats that will be 100% locally sourced. The store will be set up as a small, local marketplace with a storefront of 900 square feet. When asked for comment, Laura responded by saying that, “Local Provisions is built on the idea that lifelong friendships are forged over cooking, eating, and sharing great food!” Local Provisions will be open late February and will be located just off the square at 8 Jefferson Street in Newnan.
