Newnan Street Reopened After Broken Water Line Causes Closures

REOPENED

Crews are working to repair a broken water line at Adamson Square on Newnan Street. The road has been closed off after the service line broke due to freezing temperatures.

“We have crews working to repair the line now,” said City Manager Tim Grizzard. “The water line that ruptured is only affecting City Tavern. That line was very old, and our workers are repairing it to modern standards so we don’t have to deal with this problem again. We hope to have it finished soon.” Danielle and Rita at Merle Norman which is directly next door spoke to us and said they are open for business.

The issue could cause closures of other nearby restaurants.
