On Wednesday, April 11, Villa Rica Main Street will host their second Villa Rica Leadership Luncheon. Sugar Foods Vice President of Operations, Kelvin Hill will be the guest speaker.
The luncheon will take place at 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Venue, located at 150 Stone Street in downtown Villa Rica. The bi-monthly series kicked off on Valentine’s Day with President and CEO of Tanner Health System, Loy Howard.
“We were trying to figure out how to get more businesses plugged into the community from a corporate level. We also wanted to engage people—to encourage them to attend, network, and gain insight into the economic development that is happening here in Villa Rica,” said Director of Economic Development Chris Pike.
Hosted by Office of Economic Development and Villa Rica Main Street, the Villa Rica Leadership Luncheon Series aims to bring together educational leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, and executives throughout the region to discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities facing their respective fields.
“We thought let’s have some businesses like Southwire, Sugar Foods, and Tanner Medical Center—who are currently in the process of expanding—come and talk about those expansions to citizens and highlight what it could mean for Villa Rica’s economic growth,” explained Pike.
The luncheon starts off with a networking session, followed by lunch, and the guest speaker’s remarks. Future speakers at the Villa Rica Leadership Luncheon Series include Rich Stinson of Southwire, Trent North of Douglas County Schools, and UWG President Dr. Kyle Marrerro.
Open to the public, tickets for the Villa Rica Leadership Luncheon Series can be purchased here. The cost per ticket is $22 for Main Street Discount Card holders and $27 for non-holders.
