Hendrick Automotive Group, the nation’s largest privately held automotive retail organization, today officially opened Honda of Newnan at 319 Newnan Crossing Bypass in Newnan, Georgia. The new dealership is the company’s first Georgia location south of Atlanta.
Along with Gwinnett Place Honda in Duluth, Hendrick Automotive Group now operates two Honda dealerships in Georgia, 15 Honda locations overall and 131 total franchises throughout the United States. The Charlotte-based company has 13 overall franchises in Georgia and employs more than 1,200 people throughout the state.

John Hicks, formerly the service director at Gwinnett Place Honda, has been named general manager at Honda of Newnan. Hicks reports to Hendrick Automotive Group market area vice president Jerry Brown.
