Carroll County Students Earn Recognition at Future Georgia Educators State Competition

(Carrollton, Ga. – May 9, 2018) Twelve Carroll County Students recently earned top honors at the Future Georgia Educators (FGE) State Competition. Brianna Pirkle won first place for her essay entitled, “The Great Homework Debate”. Alyssa Phillips, Journey Turner, Chloe Hull, Hailey Robinson, Katelyn Cole, Jodee Garner, Autumn Harrison, Samantha Hancock, Brianna Pirkle, Destiny Ellison and Alexis Gunnells earned first place in the “Why Teach Campaign” for their display of student photos and information about why choosing a career in education is important. Additionally, Lanie Newton won third place for her t-shirt design.

FGE competitions provide exciting opportunities for aspiring educators from across Georgia to measure their creativity, skills, and initiative against high standards.
