Newnan’s Junction Lanes Expected to Reopen Wednesday

Heavy downpours on Friday caused major damage to the roof of a popular Newnan bowling alley. Junction Lanes announced on its Facebook page that it would be closed until the roof can be repaired.

Rains caused the roof to partially collapse over the Junction Lanes’ glow golf course. The bowling alley remained closed over the weekend and Monday. Junction Lanes posted a statement on the company’s Facebook page detailing the damages.

“The fire sprinkler line broke as a result of last night’s storm damage and partial roof collapse,” one statement read. “It will have to be repaired before we can re-open for business. All the damage was isolated to the glow-golf, so we are hopeful that bowling, arcade, and the Depot Grille will reopen early next week.”

According to an updated statement on the Junction Lanes’ Facebook page, the business anticipates being closed Tuesday and hopes to possibly reopen by Wednesday.

Junction Lanes said that it was waiting to have power restored before it would be able to open, but there is no time frame as to when that might occur.

“Unfortunately, power will not be restored today, therefore we will not be open for business on Tuesday,” the statement read. “We remain hopeful for Wednesday. Thank you for your support and understanding.”
