What started as one man’s passion is now one of West Georgia’s best-known bicycle shops. Located near Adamson Square, West Georgia Cycling has called Bradley Street home since the summer of 2011.
“Carrollton has always had a descent bike scene, and the Carrollton Greenbelt has definitely helped out,” said West Georgia Cycling owner Adam Alvord.
The family-owned bike shop is the first mobile bike shop in the West Georgia area. The shop offers its customers the convenience of having their bike or bicycles picked up and brought back to them. The shop is knowledgeable and accepts all types of bikes including road, mountain, cruiser, children’s bikes, and three-wheelers. They also carry a full line of new and used bikes along with an assortment of parts and accessories.
“Sharing my passion for cycling is what it is important. I started riding at a very young age and now I get to do it for a living. All makes of bicycles are welcome here. No matter if you bought it at a department store or bike shop, your bike will receive the same love and care no matter what,” said Alvord.
West Georgia cycling offers several different service options that are tailored to each customer’s specific need. Some of these service options include a mini tune-up, which is suggested to be done annually, a complete tune-up that focuses on the all-around wellness of the bike, and then a complete overhaul that will consist of disassembly and the reassembly and cleaning of all the bike’s parts.
“My slogan is We Keep YOU Pedaling! And that’s what exactly I do here,” said Alvord.
West Georgia Cycling is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p. m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m..
