The King of Burgers Eyeing Temple
Temple could be getting a new fast food restaurant in the near future. The City’s Planning and Zoning Commission voted on July 17 to approve development plans for a Burger King to be constructed next to Bojangles on Highway 113.
Those plans will now need to be approved by the Temple City Council, which will likely discuss the Burger King plans during an upcoming meeting.
An official start date has not been announced for the potential project.
Should Burger King follow through with the plans and open a new location in Temple, the restaurant would be the chain’s seventh location in the west Georgia area, including Douglasville, Carrollton, and Newnan.
The Temple City Council is scheduled to meet on August 6, and development plans for the proposed Burger King could be approved during that meeting.
