One of Newnan’s favorite sports bar and grills recently announced that it has permanently closed its doors. Corner Tavern, located at 125 Newnan Crossing Bypass, announced the closure on its Facebook page.

“We would like to take this time to thank all of our Tavern family friends,” the statement read. “The love and support has helped us get through the last ten years, and we appreciate each and every one of you! You will all hold a special place in our hearts!”

The business closed the doors for the last time on August 25. The owner of Corner Tavern spoke to the The City Menus and noted that she may possibly open a new restaurant location very soon.

Corner Tavern opened in 2007 and served as one of the most popular sports bars in Newnan. The bar and grill hosted karaoke and other entertainment and was well known for its food and drink selections.

The owner of Corner Tavern also noted that a new restaurant will likely open in the space.
