Construction is slated to begin on a new hotel along Diplomat Parkway in Newnan. According to plans obtained by The City Menus, a new Woodspring Suites hotel is scheduled to be built there next to Lowe’s Home Improvement store.
The new hotel is scheduled to possibly open in December of 2019, according to the Woodspring Suites Facebook page.
Woodspring Suites is a chain of extended-stay hotels with more than 250 locations across the country. The company was founded in 2003 with a focus on offering home-like hotel suites for extended-stay guests.
The chain’s hotels feature amenities such as full kitchens, flat panel televisions, desk space, and an eating area in each room. Woodspring Suites also offers free wifi and 24/7 laundry.
According to the Woodspring Suites Facebook page, the hotel will likely be a four-story building with 122 suites. City Planning and Zoning officials say the company recently submitted plans, and there is currently no timetable for when construction will begin on the new hotel.
