Villa Rica Moving City Offices to New Location

The City of Villa Rica will soon be moving its Customer Service Department to a new location at 42 Community Square, near City Hall. Mayor Jeff Reese said many local residents know the space that will soon be home to Villa Rica’s Customer Service Department as the “old Georgia Power building.”

“That used to be where a Georgia Power office was, but we will be moving our Customer Service Department into the space in October,” said Reese.

The City’s customer service workers have been operating inside City Hall, but Reese said the City is long overdue for a new location for its customer service employees.

“We’ve simply outgrown the building here at City Hall,” said Reese. “We have people in cubicles and people sitting out in the middle of City Hall. It’s just not very customer friendly to people who are trying to come in here and pay their water bill or meet with someone they need to see.”

The new Customer Service location will allow residents to pay water bills and offer other services at the office, which will also feature a drive-thru service.

“We feel like it will streamline our operations,” said Reese. “The main driving force behind it is that we’ve simply outgrown the space we were in.”
