Mill Town Music Hall welcomes back the distinct tenor voice of David Phelps for two nights, Friday, December 7th and Saturday, December 8th at 7:30pm EST. Phelps’ melodies have been sung everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the White House, as well as on numerous award-winning Gaither “Homecoming” collections. Mill Town Music Hall focuses on family-friendly music and events and is located conveniently off I-20 in Bremen (1031 Alabama Avenue).
Phelps is known for having an eclectic style that is sure to appeal to all musical preferences from gospel, country, contemporary and even classical. Growing up in the tumbleweeds of Tomball, Texas, in a musical and faith-filled family, Phelps exhibited a gift in vocal performance at a young age. Phelps went on to complete a music degree from Baylor University and became a member of the Gaither Vocal Band, where he has been featured for his ability to sing high tessitura for sustained periods. In addition, Phelps has several solo albums including Life is a Church, Family Band and Classics. In 2017, he released his latest album Hymnal which contains some of the most treasured hymns of the church. He has received two Dove Award nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year and Long Form Video for the Christmas DVD, O Holy Night in 2009.
