Located at 40 Villa Rosa Road across from the Flying J Travel Center in Temple, Villa Rosa Pizzeria is well-known for some of the area’s best pizza and wings. Those who have tried Villa Rosa Pizzeria will attest the restaurant’s hometown atmosphere is equally as good as the flavorful menu items.
“I was born and raised in Temple, and everyone who lives here knows how much of a close-knit community we are,” says Chasity Couch, owner. “I really love being able to serve the folks in this community and have a place where they can come enjoy some great food and sit back and enjoy a meal together.”
Villa Rosa Pizzeria offers many unique flavors in both boneless and traditional wings. “People really love our wings, and all our sauces are made in-house. We take pride in that and every other menu item,” says Chasity. “We make sure that our wings are always cooked the same way because consistency is as important as how you create each specific flavor. Most people love our wings so much that they rarely try other things we have on the menu; but once they do try something else, it’s usually their new favorite thing to order.”
Chasity has owned Villa Rosa Pizzeria for two years and has transformed the restaurant from a small, takeout eatery to one that features a large dining area that captures an Italian-style atmosphere blended with a hometown, American feel. Customers can sit and watch games on flat screen televisions and also enjoy wine or beer on tap.
“When I bought the restaurant from the previous owners, I wanted to make it something that families around here love and a place that they would rather come to instead of driving to a nearby town to go out and eat,” says Chasity.
Villa Rosa Pizzeria also offers fast and friendly delivery service seven days a week. Customers will always see the same friendly faces at the restaurant as most of the employees are Chasity’s family members or close friends.
“I like to say that we’re all a family here—especially our customers,” says Chasity. “Temple is a place where everybody knows your name, and we love having this restaurant and being able to serve Temple.”
In addition to their popular pizzas and wings, Villa Rosa Pizzeria also has Italian-themed menu items such as pastas, sandwiches, and calzones. Chasity encourages customers to leave room for dessert so they can try Villa Rosa’s funnel cake fries, homemade peach cobbler, and other choices.
“I’ve got the best peach cobbler in the world—at least that’s what everyone who tries it tells me,” laughs Chaisty. “Our wings, pastas and pizzas are great, but you have to come try the desserts.”
A lifelong resident of Temple remarked that he has enjoyed many meals from Villa Rosa Pizzeria and can attest to the fact that their funnel cake fries are better than any you’ll find at a fairground or ball game. Villa Rosa Pizzeria also offers some of the best prices around for the menu items that are available.
“I get people every week coming in and saying that they didn’t know we were out here,” says Chasity. “We hope more people will come by and try our food and enjoy the atmosphere we have here. We’re always here if you need anything, and we love serving people from Temple and elsewhere. We have a few truck drivers who will stop here and come in to eat. I’ve got some regular customers who live hundreds of miles away that make sure they stop by and see us.”
