Preliminary Stages of Permitting for New RaceTrac in Newnan

Jonathan Dockery

The City of Newnan is in the preliminary stages of permitting for a new RaceTrac at the corner of Newnan Crossing Boulevard and Poplar Road, directly across from Piedmont Hospital. Last year we received information that this was expected to be a QT store; however it now appears RaceTrac will land in this spot.

According to Media Relations for RaceTrac, the new store will be one of the newer store prototypes which feature a Swirl World frozen dessert station with up to 10 flavors and 41 toppings.

The release states, “Our newer stores also have a more shoppable layout, ample seating, free Wi-Fi and more lighting in the store and parking lot to deliver a better guest experience. Outside all of our new and updated stores, you’ll find a clean, well-lit parking lot, and thoughtful elements like exterior seating options.”
