The Spring 2019 Taste of Newnan takes place on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm with an expected crowd of more than 8,000 visitors in attendance for this annual event.
“The Taste of Newnan is a fun-filled, family event that is hosted along the square in downtown Newnan, where the entire community is invited to sample menu items from our fantastic restaurants and caterers,” said Abigail Strickland, Special Events Coordinator for Main Street Newnan.
During the event, event-goers will be able to try “tastes” (small food or drink portions) from over 30 local food vendors. Each taste will range between $1 to $6 dollars.
Entertainment will be provided during the event featuring family-friendly, live music by The Wyatt Band, a new activity zone along Greenville Street, equipped with games, rides, inflatables and more.
This year event-goers will also see a few significant changes to the event. “There will only be one Taste of Newnan for the year. In years past, we’ve held this event twice a year,” said Strickland. “Event-goers will pay vendors directly with cash; some vendors will take credit cards, however, tickets will not be sold this year.”
The event will also have a new footprint and will take place on North, South, East and West Court Square and Greenville Street.
Free parking is available along downtown streets, and in the City of Newnan’s public parking lots, located at: 13 LaGrange Street, 25 LaGrange Street, 22 Spring Street, 6 First Avenue, 50 East Broad Street, 65 East Broad Street, 41 East Washington Street and 22 East Broad Street, 65 East Broad Street, 41 East Washington Street and 22 East Broad Street.
