Printer, politician, scientist, and philanthropist, Benjamin Franklin was above all a master of creating self-images that served many situations—from the pomp of the French court to the muddy streets of Philadelphia.

Join us as we consider the ways in which Franklin turned himself into one of America’s most enduring cultural myths. Reception with light refreshments begins at 6:00 pm and the lecture will begin at 6:30 pm. Please note that no alcohol is served at this event. Registration is requested as seating is limited.

The Other Night School is a dynamic learning environment featuring the best of University of West Georgia faculty delivering talks on important, intriguing, and yes, curious topics of interest to everyone. Talks are held in Carrollton, Newnan and Serenbe in the Spring and Fall.
