The Department of Theatre and the College of Arts and Humanities School of the Arts invite the Carrollton community to an exciting community engagement event: Community Keynote Forum: Breathing, Listening, Creative Change.
Stone Visiting Artist Dr. Daniel Banks, co-director of DNAWorks and founder of the Hip Hop Theatre Initiative, will be in Carrollton to facilitate an interactive discussion on the power of the “encounter” and theatre’s ability to create change. The discussion will take place in the Carrollton Center for the Arts Presentation Hall at 7:00PM on Thursday, April 25.
Dr. Banks is an acclaimed theatre director, choreographer, and dialogue facilitator. He has worked across the globe leading arts-based social justice programs with artists, educators, and activists of all ages.
