For the thirty-third year, Carrollton Main Street’s Mayfest arts and crafts festival will fill Adamson Square with hand-made wares, food and entertainment on the first Saturday in May.
“Main Street looks forward to Mayfest every year,” said Aundi Lesley, director of Carrollton Main Street. “Not only because it’s one of our primary fundraisers that goes toward downtown beautification and revitalization, but also because it’s such a fun event for the whole family.”
Mayfest has become one of the largest arts and crafts festivals in the West Georgia area, drawing an estimated 7,000 people downtown each year and featuring more than 200 arts and craft vendors, food trucks and a Children’s Village with games, activities and do-it-yourself crafts. The city’s popular downtown amphitheater, the Amp, will host entertainment throughout the day, including the annual Teen Idol competition.
“The downtown businesses and Main Street are ready to welcome everyone to Carrollton for a full day of fun,” said Lesley.
