Carroll County Schools Air Force JROTC Instructor Earns National Honors

Carroll County Schools Air Force JROTC Instructor, MSgt Stacie Duck, was named to the top 10% of the nation’s JROTC instructors as 2019 Overall AFJROTC Outstanding Instructor of the Year by the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of the Air Force. The award recognizes the “Best of the Blue” in AFJROTC Instructors across the country. MSgt Duck exhibits an exemplary contribution, having a positive impact on Central High School, cadets, and the community.

Carroll County Schools Air Force JROTC Instructor Col Mike Washington said, “MSgt Duck is dedicated, works hard, and has invested herself in our Carroll County AFJROTC Program. She represents the highest example of the Air Force Core Values which are crucial to the success of the AFJROTC mission.”

As an expert in Drill & Ceremonies, MSgt Duck trained cadets in the fine art of precision movement and orchestrated Color Guards for athletic events and parades, as well as events honoring Veterans. She impeccably presented the Nation’s Colors to over 60,000 people, most recently during the graduation ceremony of three (3) of the five (5) Carroll County Schools high schools.

Mr. Jared Griffis stated, “I can’t give her an endorsement any stronger than, I can see she loves our students. Her approach to life inspires the cadets to be positive, professional, and intentional in everything they do.”
