Ashley Park’s new general manager, David Macdonald recently gave an update on an expansion project during a breakfast hosted by the shopping center. He states, “The new building outparcel will be constructed in the parking lot section next to Regal Cinemas Georgia 14. Two out of three spaces are 99-percent leased for the 10,000 square-foot building, and we are still looking for a third tenant.” An announcement for the new restaurants is expected soon.
According to plans obtained by The City Menus last year, the expansion will likely have three separate units with one unit featuring a drive-thru window. Newnan’s planning and zoning department notes that all three of the units in the expansion are proposed to be restaurants which will feature outdoor seating patios. Dean Smith, city planner says, “Plans have been approved for the Ashley Park retail and food development, but no permits have been pulled as of today’s date.”
In Ashley Park related news, Creamistry is looking to open June 11, notes David. Marketing director Natalie Davis also informed attendees of the morning breakfast that murals are going up at The Green which opened in Fall 2018 and features charging stations, seating, lawn games, and more. The Green has increased traffic and sales at Ashley Park.
