Lately The City Menus has received inquiries asking what is happening on Highway 61 across from South Carroll Road in Villa Rica. As you might recall from several stories circling around over the past several years, a shopping center was planned for this area. At the time, Kroger was the potential lead for the center.
However, our contact Roy Martin with Sofran Partners gave us an update this week on the rumor weed. He says, “Kroger has no plans to proceed at this time. All that is happening now is the Georgia Department of Transportation is moving dirt into that area.”
Roy also stated that residents could look for some possible outparcel development to happen in the near future, but that nothing is set in stone.
