Carroll County Public Works crews have started preparing the area around the Little Tallapoosa River bridge along Tyus-Carrollton Road in Carrollton. Plans call for a bridge replacement totalling just over 1.1 million dollars, with Baldwin Paving winning the bid.

Charles Pope with Carroll County Public Works tells us, “We are doing the bridge replacement in house, meaning our public works crews are doing the grading.” The current steel bridge spans over the Little Tallapoosa River and is the bridge just to the west of Brock Road. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area.
